Academy Terms & Conditions

1. Course Access & Delivery

Upon purchase, you will receive access to course materials through our learning platform. Course content is delivered in the following formats:

• Self-Paced (with Claude tutor): Lifetime access to recorded lessons, written playbooks, templates, and a Claude tutor for Q&A and applied guidance
• 1:1 Premium: Defined premium period (typically 8–12 weeks) with private coaching sessions, extended resources, and one-on-one support with Ross Huartt

Course materials are provided as-is. We reserve the right to update or modify course content while maintaining the quality and integrity of the program.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If you are not satisfied with your course purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days by contacting us at advisory@founder8.ai.

To qualify for a refund:

• Request must be made within 14 days of purchase
• You may have engaged with course materials during this period
• Premium coaching sessions must not have already commenced
• Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days

Refunds are applied to the original payment method. After 14 days, no refunds are available except as required by law.

3. Course Access Duration

Self-Paced Courses

Self-paced courses provide lifetime access once you enroll. You can access materials at any time without expiration.

1:1 Premium

Premium courses remain accessible for the defined premium period (typically 12 weeks from start date), after which access may be limited or revoked. Extensions may be available upon request.

4. Certification Requirements & Eligibility

To earn a FounderAI Professional Certification, you must:

• Complete a minimum of 4 courses from our academy catalog
• Achieve a passing grade (typically 70% or higher) on all certification assessments
• Complete any required capstone project or final assessment
• Agree to our Professional Code of Conduct
• Be in good standing (no outstanding payments, violations, or disputes)

5. Certification Types

FounderAI Certified Professional (FAICP)

Certification recognizing completion of core courses and passing all assessments. No fee required beyond course costs.

FounderAI Certified Advisor (FAICA)

Advanced certification for professionals offering AI infrastructure advisory services. Requires FAICP certification plus additional specialized courses and practical experience.

6. Certification Maintenance & Recertification

FounderAI certifications remain active for one year from the date of initial certification. To maintain your certification:

FAICP Recertification

• Annual recertification fee: $197
• Complete continuing education requirements (e.g., 2 new courses or approved professional development)
• Maintain professional standards and code of conduct

FAICA Recertification

• Annual recertification fee: $297
• Higher continuing education requirements (e.g., 4 new courses or equivalent professional development)
• Maintain advisory standards and code of conduct
• May require demonstration of active advisory work

Recertification fees are due annually to maintain active certified status. Failure to recertify will result in certification lapsing but can be renewed with payment.

7. Use of Certification Credentials

Once certified, you may use the FounderAI Certified Professional (FAICP) or FounderAI Certified Advisor (FAICA) designations in your professional materials, subject to:

• Active, current certification status
• Compliance with our Professional Code of Conduct
• Accurate representation of your certification level
• Not implying endorsement beyond what your certification represents

Unauthorized use of FounderAI trademarks or misrepresentation of certification status may result in legal action and certification revocation.

8. Code of Conduct for Certified Professionals

Certified professionals agree to:

• Act with integrity and professionalism in all business practices
• Accurately represent their knowledge, experience, and certifications
• Maintain client confidentiality and protect sensitive information
• Avoid conflicts of interest or disclose them transparently
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Continue professional development and stay current with industry standards
• Respect intellectual property and avoid plagiarism

9. Certification Suspension & Revocation

FounderAI reserves the right to suspend or revoke certification for:

• Violation of the Professional Code of Conduct
• Misrepresentation of credentials or expertise
• Fraudulent or illegal conduct
• Non-payment of recertification fees
• Violation of these terms
• Breach of client confidentiality or professional standards

Revoked certifications may not be reissued for a minimum period of two years. An appeal process is available upon written request.

10. Course Material Intellectual Property

All course materials, including videos, slides, documents, and assessments, are the exclusive intellectual property of FounderAI. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or share course materials outside your personal use
• Record live sessions without permission
• Create derivative works from course materials
• Use materials for commercial purposes without written consent

Unauthorized use of course materials will result in immediate access termination and potential legal action.

11. Student Conduct & Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your course access for:

• Violation of these terms
• Disruptive behavior toward instructors or other students
• Harassment or discrimination
• Unauthorized content sharing or violations of intellectual property
• Payment issues or fraud

12. Technical Support & Platform Access

We provide access to our learning platform on an "as-available" basis. While we strive for reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Technical issues will be addressed promptly, but we are not liable for:

• Temporary service interruptions or maintenance downtime
• Issues caused by your internet connection or equipment
• Loss of progress due to technical failures beyond our control

13. No Refunds for Active Premium Engagements

The 14-day money-back guarantee does not apply to 1:1 Premium engagements that have already commenced. Once coaching sessions begin, all payments are non-refundable. You may request to defer enrollment upon written request, subject to availability and additional conditions.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

Courses and certification programs are provided "as-is." We make no guarantees regarding:

• Specific business outcomes or results from applying course knowledge
• Job placement or advancement based on certification
• Earning potential or financial returns
• Third-party recognition or acceptance of certification

15. Governing Law

These Academy Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable Canadian law and the courts of Alberta will have jurisdiction.
